Guy Fawkes Night: Seaside Venue Welcomes Concert Guests
23. 07.09
A well known seaside family-run hotel has opened its doors to new sets of visitors and now the management there are to have a special open day for VIPS.
Michael and Kathleen Farwell own the popular Avalon Hotel in South Parade, Whitley Bay.
They’ve established a very brisk and loyal trade with holidaymakers, business-people and, as it is an internationally known motorcycle-friendly’ hotel, with many motorcyclists arriving from all over the world to stay in the popular seaside resort.
Now their recently opened live entertainment venue ‘The Trojan Rooms’ – occupying the site of what was once the Conservative Club next door – is to be in the spotlight for an invitation-only tourism event on Thursday 5th November.
And the highlight of the Open Event will be a superb performance by ‘The Ska-toons’ – a well known and hugely enjoyable band who combine ska, jazz and reggae influences in their memorable performances.
Working with Corbridge based tourism specialists Steve Reed Tourism Ltd, Michael and Kathleen are inviting North East businesses, tourist attractions, and local organisations to come and see what the hotel and the Trojan Rooms have to offer visitors to the area.
‘We opened up the Trojan Rooms and found that people were glad to come to a high quality venue and to see some great bands too.
‘We’re now inviting local and regional organisations to come along and sample for themselves both the hotel and the great atmosphere of the Trojan Rooms combined,’ explains Michael.
The event kicks off from 7pm at the Avalon Hotel on the 5th November with show’ rounds, a meal and then the Ska-toons themselves in the adjoining Trojan Rooms
Any businesses or organisations keen to reserve places at this event [which are subject to availability] should contact Michael and/or Kathleen Farwell on [0191] 251 0080
