Painshill Paints Picture for Travel Trade 19 October.
9/1/2020
One
of the country’s leading tourist attractions is to welcome groups of visitors
again.
Painshill Park in Cobham, Surrey is an 18th century landscaped garden and is ideally situated just off the A3 and M25
motorway. https://www.painshill.co.uk/things-to-do-and-see/
A special Painshill Park re-launch
event for coach and tour operators, group travel organisers and inbound
operators will take place on Monday 19th October commencing at 11.00
and concluding at 15.00.
It’s the
perfect opportunity for tour operators to see and experience a group and coach
friendly attraction. At Painshill on 19 October they’ll be able to talk to the
people there who look after and handle groups.
It’s a unique
place in which you’re invited to step into a work of art and have a relaxing
stroll around. Indeed it’s described as a living canvas which provides visitors
with stunning views and beautiful garden buildings. The meandering serpentine
lake, Turkish Tent, Ruined Abbey and Gothic Temple compete for your attention
with the follies located around the sumptuous site.
The
tourism set piece includes welcome reception, guided tours of the site
showcasing the various tours on offer at Painshill – and also incorporates
lunch and refreshments. A highlight will be tastings of the very special Painshill Gin.
Working
with leading, Hampshire based, UK group travel specialists Steve Reed Tourism,
Painshill are keen to roll out the red carpet for tour planners visiting or
passing through the South
East.
Steve
Roach is the Head of Visitor and Commercial Operations:
‘The
re-launch is a way for the travel trade to see for themselves the steps we have
taken at Painshill to ensure the safety and well-being of all visitors to the
park – including groups,’ says Steve.
‘The 158
acre site allows for a safe visitor environment in the current climate and the
event will allow the guests to see for themselves that we’re ready for
groups.’
A Grade 1 listed garden, Painshill
was created between 1738 and 1773 by the Honourable Charles Hamilton after he was inspired by Renaissance landscape painting. From
the sparkling Crystal Grotto to the amazing Gothic Tower, each of the
beautifully unique buildings is dramatically placed to create a lasting memory
for visitors. Other key features include the Waterwheel, a quaint Hermitage
hidden in the woods and the Painshill Vineyard.
Andy Martin is a coach
tour operator based in Selborne, Hampshire https://www.candytours.co.uk/:
‘We’re really excited to be invited
to Painshill Park in Surrey for this event. It’s so important that people
planning days out, excursions, breaks and tours of all types can have the
confidence to know they’re taking their customers to a perfectly safe tourist
attraction. It will be good to see their different group tours, facilities for
groups, sample their food and refreshments and experience what I’ve heard is an
attraction that literally is as pretty as a picture,’ says Andy.
Any tour planner keen to attend this
complimentary event should contact Steve Reed Tourism Ltd on [01420] 560288 or
email steve@stevereedtourism.co.uk Places are subject to availability and
eligibility. Each organisation, company or group attending can bring along a
guest with them.
Ends.
