Providing cost-effective, no-nonsense solutions, we help tourism businesses and organisations to improve their effectiveness in attracting customers through a variety of means. Below are some of our key activities:

Showcase and Familiarisation events

The best way to attract new customers is to showcase your business directly to decision makers. We do this by organising special Familiarisation Events (“Fams”) for key buyers to meet you, the buyer. SRT put together the entire event from start to finish – sourcing the buyers, arranging the Familiarisation Event programme and gaining sponsorship where necessary. We are market leaders where Fams are concerned having organised dozens of successful ventures right across the north of England and Scotland.

Sales training - 'Making the most'

SRT offers tourism businesses a variety of tailored training courses – all arranged to suit the aims of the client. The high tempo ‘Making the Most of the Group Traveller’ course for example is geared towards improving the way tourism attractions, hotels and destinations handle the very important group visitor. We also use the same ‘Making the Most’ training format for other types of tourist, visitor or customer – whoever you wish to target, we can help enhance and improve your strike rate.

Feasibility studies

The viability of new developments – whether visitor attractions, hotels or retail – are all areas where SRT can help the client make the right decisions. Through comparing carefully selected sites; by assessing the likely economic impact of the proposition and though a thorough SWOT investigation, the true potential of an initiative can be gleaned. The client will receive, in total confidence, a study which will help inform and determine the correct course of action – essential where a significant investment is planned.

Special events and promotions

SRT organises a great variety of events tailored to the needs of the business or organisation concerned. These include product launches, press calls, ‘meet the buyer’ events, and, one of our specialities - familiarisation weekends (“Fams”) for travel writers, tour operators and conference buyers.

Market research

SRT Ltd. conducts direct research and analysis to enable the client to ascertain trends within the marketplace, assess the impact of marketing actions and, where the competition is concerned, seek confidential data and information. The client will always receive both interim and a final written report containing findings, analyses and, where appropriate, recommendations. ^ back to top ^
